Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of Design and Engineering projects, including Project Planning, Execution, and Delivery in accordance with the contract scope.
Close collaboration with multidisciplined teams, including Designers, Engineers, Clients, and third-party Stakeholders is required, to ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Experience of the UK Power Sector is preferable, but not essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Project Manager with ensuring scope and deliverables are clearly defined and delivered in accordance with the project requirements and contract to time, quality, and cost.
* Effective communication, building and managing strong relationships with internal project teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
* Support the management of key stakeholders to ensure their input and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
* Contribute to internal and external commercial aspects of the project under the NEC 4 contract form.
* Assist with risk management for the business and the Client.
* Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines.
* Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental issues are proactively managed by all parties throughout the project.
* Ensure all activities adhere to current legislation and Client policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Experience in project delivery
* Understanding of NEC 4 contracts
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
* Stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of CDM and safety/environmental legislation
* Knowledge of project management practices and tools
* Customer-focused approach
Essential qualifications include the right to work in the UK or the ability to secure it before starting.
Desirable qualifications include NEBOSH certification, membership of IET/IAM, and management certifications such as APM, IPMA Level C, or Prince2/PMP.
Location: Home-based with options to work from Omnia offices in Stafford, Stockton Heath, Northallerton, with willingness to travel across the UK.
