Legal PA – (Part Time, 12‑Month FTC)
Birmingham | 28 hours per week (4 days) | Must work Tuesdays & Fridays | £34,000 FTE (pro‑rata)
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised PA to join an international law firm in their Commercial Disputes and Construction Disputes teams in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high‑performing, fast‑paced practice on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working 4 days per week. You’ll need to be available on Tuesdays and Fridays, with flexibility on the remaining two days.
We welcome applicants with legal PA/litigation experience, though strong PA skills from other sectors with transferable experience will also be considered.
About the Role
As a key member of the team, you’ll provide proactive, high‑level support to Partners and fee‑earners, helping to keep a busy disputes practice running smoothly. You’ll manage complex schedules, coordinate deadlines, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients, counsel, and internal colleagues.
You’ll play an important part in ensuring the team remains organised, efficient, and prepared for the demands of high‑volume, commercially sensitive work.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing complex diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements
* Handling calls, inboxes, and client queries professionally
* Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents
* Supporting billing processes, time recording, and basic financial admin
* Providing general team support and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day workflow
* Assisting with court and arbitration timelines where required
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced PA (legal/litigation background preferred)
* Minimum 60+ wpm typing speed
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
* Calm, dependable, proactive, and solution‑focused
* Ability to work confidently under pressure and juggle multiple deadlines
