Overview
We're seeking a SHWEQ Manager to join our team in Waterlooville. In this role, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the business while overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of the SHWEQ Advisors.
What You'll Be Doing
* Reporting directly to the SHWEQ Director, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring the effective operational delivery of Safety, Health, Wellbeing, Environmental, and Quality (SHWEQ) standards.
* Deputise for the SHWEQ Director as and when required.
* In collaboration with the SHWEQ and Compliance Advisor, conduct Management System auditing.
* Direct Client engagement and support, remaining the primary point of contact for day-to-day SHWEQ activities and communication.
* Lead and develop the SHWEQ Advisors.
* Lead and support incident investigations, root causes analysis and lessons learnt.
* Carry out site, depot and facilities, pre-construction inspections.
* Manage regional SHWEQ enhancement plans relating to operational sites and facilities.
* Carry out contractor audits, reviews and approvals.
* Undertake and lead SHWEQ improvement projects to drive industry best practise.
* Attendance and contribution to client and third-party seminars, whilst obtaining learning and development opportunities for the business.
Who We're Looking For
* Construction (Design and Management) experience, particularly in the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer.
* Experience of supporting behaviour and cultural programmes.
* Membership of a professional body (IOSH, IIRSM, IEMA), preferably CMIOSH.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred; NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
* Experience of writing policies and procedures.
* Proven and effective Root Cause Analysis techniques.
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently to problem solve.
* Full clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel UK wide with some overnight stays.
* A good communicator with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
