The HR team in the UK consists of over 100 people. We have specialist teams in Recruitment, Graduate Recruitment and Management, Learning and Development, Systems and MI and Reward. The HR Operations team are based in offices across the UK, working as one team to deliver a business partnering service to our fee earning and business services teams. The purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to work with and influence key stakeholders and leaders to improve business performance by identifying areas for improvement and facilitating change initiatives. Responsibilities
* Position HR as a strategic partner and contribute to business planning.
* Build strong relationships with client groups; coach leaders on people management.
* Support change initiatives, restructures, redundancies, and transfers.
* Advise on HR policies (maternity, flexible working, mentoring, equal opportunities).
* Collaborate with L&D to address skills gaps and deliver programmes.
Career Development & Talent Management
* Drive career development conversations and performance feedback.
* Lead annual performance moderation and talent management processes.
* Manage promotion decisions and succession planning.
Salary Review
* Monitor market salary trends and implement annual review for client groups.
Projects
* Support firm-wide change management and strategic HR projects.
* Graduate or equivalent; CIPD preferred.
Qualifications
* Strong HR experience with senior stakeholder engagement.
* Professional services background desirable.
* Team player with commercial awareness and strategic mindset.
* Excellent communication, influencing skills, and discretion.
* Ability to inspire confidence and adapt flexibly.
