An established consultancy operating in the water, civil engineering, utilities, and marine sectors is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Kent.
Current projects range in value from £5M to £50M. The consultancy offers expertise in asset development, adaptation, and maintenance for their clients.
The Project Manager will join a business with strong, long-term client relationships and a robust order book for the next five years.
This role involves working on a five-year framework delivering approximately 80 km of water mains renewals across Kent. It is a great opportunity to join a small but growing team and influence the strategic direction of the department.
This is a hybrid working role.
The Role
1. Collaborate with the client's Project Manager and team members.
2. Manage project details from the client's Assets & Leakage departments.
3. Coordinate with the framework contractor under an ECI arrangement.
4. Plan the programme to ensure cost-effective delivery.
5. Coordinate with various stakeholders including operations, public relations, designers, contractors, highways, environmental, and land agents.
6. Monitor progress and adjust plans to stay on track.
7. Manage risks and resolve issues promptly.
8. Report regularly to senior management on project status.
9. Foster a collaborative work environment.
10. Mentor and lead junior team members.
Experience Required
Applicants should have an HND or BEng qualification and a stable career history with a consultancy or a recognized civil engineering contractor.
Project Managers Will Be Able To Demonstrate
* Experience in planning and delivering complex projects on time.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and provide regular updates.
* Stakeholder management skills to ensure high standards within budget.
* Knowledge of NEC contracts.
