Food Technology Teacher (Full-Time)

£130 - £200 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative Food Technology Teacher to take on a full-time role starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will inspire students at KS3 and KS4 through engaging, practical lessons that develop essential life skills and a passion for food and nutrition.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and student-focused teaching environment, and who is committed to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to lead healthy, independent lives.
Role Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum
2. Teach students about nutrition, food preparation, hygiene, and kitchen safety
3. Encourage creativity, independence, and teamwork in the classroom
4. Support students in developing coursework and preparing for assessments
5. Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, displays, and extracurricular clubs
Requirements
To be considered for this Food Technology Teacher position, candidates must have:
6. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
7. Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
8. Strong subject knowledge and practical teaching experience in food preparation and nutrition
9. Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
11. An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
