Job title: General Practitioner
Location: Torquay, Devon – Southover Medical Centre and Chelston Hall Surgery
Salary: £65 per hour
Hours: Bank hours
Roles & Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality clinical care to patients registered and attending the GP surgery.
* Work closely with clinical leads and the local practice team to support surgery operations.
* Maintain quality within the practice, participate in clinical governance activities, and contribute to improving health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework.
* Provide clinical care as described in the job plan, including consultation sessions (in person and by video), telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews, prescription signing, safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours).
* Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and prioritize individual patient care.
* Work with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan, including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
Ideal Candidate
* Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list, engaged in regular clinical work.
* GP accreditation – MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
* Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient-focused services.
* Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
* Ideally has a working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb.
