Location: Regular travel expected to visit your broker panel locations which covers the North East Region (Newcastle Upon Tyne, Durham, Middlesbrough, Bradford,York, Hull, Doncaster)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Broker Relationship Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing new and growing broker relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

Key responsibilities:

1. Management and development of new and growing broker relationships.

2. Development responsibility for broker panel. These accounts will vary in size, complexity or how technical they are in nature.

3. With support from the outset if required, working with minimal supervision you will be responsible for delivery of own sales and business performance targets.

4. Work with all brokers on panel to educate and implement new initiatives and drive pipeline, as well as other sales campaigns and appropriate marketing.

5. Identifying actual and potential customers or intermediary needs and meet those from the various products and propositions that exist within the business.

6. Complete a granular evaluation of your broker panel to drive maximum share of wallet.

7. Always represent Zurich in a professional manner.

8. Achieve minimum required standard for completion of all essential business tools.

9. Implement the Zurich distribution strategy and objectives through all allocated brokers.

10. Gaining and feeding back market intelligence/activity.

11. Carry out presentations and sales training for new product launches.

12. Working alongside Underwriters and the wider business to provide brokers with a market leading service proposition.

Your skills and experience:

13. DIP CII qualification or working towards it (preferred).

14. In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, product details, and technical aspects, with a strong drive to continuously improve.

15. Adherence to industry standards and best practices.

16. Well-versed in the unique characteristics and trends of the UK General Insurance market.

17. Proven ability to forge strong connections with brokers.

18. Effective collaborator with a strong ability to work within a team environment.

19. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.

20. Skilled in managing your schedule and prioritising tasks based on urgency and business needs.

21. Ability to oversee and drive successful outcomes in these areas.

22. Exceptional planning skills to manage your diary effectively and prioritise tasks critical to business success.
