The role :
A Global Distribution Partnership Manager in the pharmaceutical industry is responsible for establishing, managing, and optimising international partnerships with distributors to ensure efficient market penetration and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for expanding a company's presence in global markets, improving supply chain efficiency, and ensuring that pharmaceutical products reach the right markets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and onboard new distribution partners.
2. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
3. Support and train partners to enhance performance.
4. Develop market entry strategies and growth plans.
5. Conduct market research for opportunities and risks.
6. Align distribution with company goals and regulations.
7. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (FDA, EMA).
8. Coordinate with regulatory teams for approvals.
9. Conduct audits and risk assessments of partners.
10. Collaborate with the supply chain for efficient delivery.
11. Manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
12. Address logistical challenges like shipping delays.
13. Track distributor performance and set improvement targets.
14. Analyse market trends and adjust strategies.
15. Prepare management reports on sales and market conditions.
16. Develop pricing and distribution cost models.
17. Ensure financial accountability in agreements.
18. Monitor payments and resolve financial issues.

Candidate Requirements:

19. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or related fields.
20. Experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain (preferably in pharma, biotech, or healthcare).
21. Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and other regulatory requirements.
22. Proficiency in contract negotiations, risk management, and quality assurance.
23. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

How we’d like to work together
As we are a global team, there is flexibility to be based in one of Uniphar’s offices or work from home. There may be a need for face-to-face meetings in other locations, as needed. There may also be some flexibility required in order to interact with colleagues or clients in their time zones (i.e. it’s not a ‘9 to 5’ type of job).
