Base pay range
Experienced DevOps Systems Administrator - £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience – Guildford (Hybrid)

As a Senior DevOps Systems Administrator at Britannic Technologies, you’ll lead automation efforts, work with cutting‑edge tools, and be trusted to make key decisions that influence our direction.

The role

Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy and support infrastructure across AWS and private cloud — shape scalable solutions that support real growth
* Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible — reduce manual tasks and free up time for innovation
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions — deliver faster and more reliable deployments
* Implement observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch) — gain full visibility and improve system performance
* Work across teams to improve reliability and security — be the go‑to expert others rely on
* Manage hybrid networks, IAM, firewalls and VPNs — grow your cloud networking knowledge
* Join the on‑call rota and respond to incidents — build resilience and problem‑solving experience
* Create and maintain documentation — help others learn from your work and establish best practice

Essential Skill’s – Must Have’s
* 5+ years of DevOps experience, including hands‑on AWS
* Experience with VMware or Proxmox
* Strong Linux skills, with networking and cloud security knowledge
* Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes (e.g. EKS)
* Confident scripting in Bash, Python or Go
Nice to have
* AWS certifications
* Knowledge of security tools like Trivy
