Responsibilities
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our established and growing Water Team with opportunities to be based across our North and Midlands offices - Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester- while also benefiting from our flexible hybrid working model. The role will require someone with Water and Wastewater Treatment and Infrastructure experience covering the Feasibility, Outline, Detail and Construction Design Stages with awareness of National and International Design Standards. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Electrical design that includes Load Schedules, Single Line Diagrams, MCC General Arrangements, Instrument Schedules, Electrical Installation and Cable Calculations, PLC / SCADA, Control Philosophy, URS, Specifications and Technical Reports including input onto P&ID's plus Site Surveys and Data Gathering exercises. In this role, you will work closely with our other discipline teams locally and nationwide where you will be expected to communicate and deliver a high calibre of technical quality, contribute to bids and interface with clients and collaborators in design and planning from conception to handover delivering quality designs to an agreed budget and programme. You'll support the delivery of a range of AECOM's clients, such as Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, South West Water, Southern Water, Thames Water and Irish Water working on projects covering both Water and Wastewater (Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure). Qualifications
* Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
* Demonstrate sound problem‑solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Self‑motivated engineer capable of working either alone, or as part of an integrated team.
* Suitable qualifications working towards Chartership with a relevant Professional Institution.
