Finance Assistant (Part‑Time)
Location: Office‑based (Tuesdays non‑negotiable, Fridays preferred)
Hours: Approx. 16 hours per week
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 pro rata

The Role
The business is looking to appoint a reliable and detail‑focused Finance Assistant to support a small finance function, currently consisting of the Head of Finance and a part‑time team member. This role is well suited to someone with general finance or accounts knowledge who enjoys handling core finance administration and helping ensure processes run smoothly.
This is not a highly progressive or technical finance role. Instead, it is a hands‑on support position, ideal for someone who prefers a steady, consistent workload and takes pride in being a dependable member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the finance email inbox
* Processing supplier invoices and supporting purchase ledger tasks
* Assisting with general finance and administrative duties
* Providing ad‑hoc support to the finance team as required
* Helping maintain organised and effective finance processes in a small business environment
Systems
* Xero accounting software (experience advantageous but not essential)
About You
* Some experience or working knowledge of finance or accounts administration
* Comfortable with routine, process‑driven work
* Naturally proactive and willing to support the wider business where needed
* Highly organised, reliable and detail‑oriented
* Confident working within a small team
* Able to work in the office on Tuesdays (essential) and ideally Fridays
