Workchain is currently seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client based in Wednesbury on a permanent basis.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, who has experience of both mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a FMCG company.
This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis. Immediate interviews and starts are available.
Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance including PPM and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations are met at all times
* Work closely with department managers and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
* Maintain tools, supplies and accurate service records
* Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery and site infrastructure
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance in line with CMMS schedules
* Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and repairs
* Install, test, and commission new equipment
* Adhere to all health and safety, audit, and quality requirements
* Record maintenance activities and keep accurate logs up to date
* Provide mechanical support across departments when required
Key Experience
* Hands on experience in maintenance engineering role and repairs within a manufacturing environment or FMCG company
* Strong fault finding and problem solving skills within a mechanical and electrical capacity
* Strong electrical bias with proven multi-skilled expertise
* 18th Edition ideally however all experience within electrics will be considered
* Experience within manufacturing, production or FMCG environments
* Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
* Clear understanding of health and safety compliance
Qualifications
* Ideally a City & Guilds or MVQ / BTEC in Electrical Maintenance / Installation however all experience will be considered
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm on a weekly rotating basis, Saturdays are on a rota basis, 7.00am to 12.00pm with time off given in lieu.
The starting salary is £43,000kpa, with excellent company benefits.
