Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking Cost / Senior Cost Managers to support the delivery of new and exciting construction schemes related to central and local government, including the development of new prisons across the UK.
Our cost management professionals handle commissions of various sizes, typically leading or supporting projects ranging from £10-£50m, with appropriate support depending on complexity. The successful candidate will also support Directors on some of the region's most high-profile projects.
Role Objectives
* Pre and post-contract duties, including preparing cost estimates, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variation management, and final accounts.
* Completing feasibility studies.
* Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans.
* Tendering and procurement activities, managing pre-qualification, producing tender lists, preliminaries, analysis, reports, and contract documents.
* Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and valuations.
* Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
* Participating in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
* Performing cost risk analysis and contributing to value engineering; negotiating and approving final accounts.
* Mentoring junior team members by sharing your experience.
Qualifications
* Proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
* Professional qualification (RICS or similar) preferred.
* Degree or HNC level qualification.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
