Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Health, Safety, and Environment programs. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees and contractors.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for solutions.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE processes into project planning and execution.
* Provide HSE training and education to employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
* Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents, and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
* Stay current with HSE regulations and industry standards, and provide guidance on compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Mechanical, or related field.
* Proven experience in HSE management within the engineering or construction industry.
* Strong understanding of local and national HSE regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
* Proven track record of implementing and managing effective HSE programs and initiatives.
Day-to-day
* Conduct site inspections and engage with project teams to ensure HSE requirements are being met.
* Review and update HSE policies and procedures based on new regulations and best practices.
* Conduct training sessions and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
* Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE into project planning and execution.
* Analyze incident and audit reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
