Salary will be at Band 5 level until certificate and internal competencies completed .

The Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service serves a population of approximately 100,000 women aged between 50 and 71 years. The service has 3 static units (Boston, Lincoln and Grantham) plus 2 mobile units which rotate through 12 sites across Lincolnshire.

Diagnostic breast imaging services are also provided from Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

The breast imaging service currently has five Siemens Inspiration Digital Mammography units and three new Hologic Dimensions units with tomosynthesis and stereo biopsy capabilities. The Trust is supported by GE PACS and is part of the EMRAD consortium.

The post holder will be expected to have the ability to travel across the county when required in the provision of the Trust wide service. The ability to integrate well with the existing team and a genuine desire to contribute to service development and quality improvement is essential. A flexible attitude to work is essential.

Due to the nature of the work, mammography posts have a gender protected character. This is a genuine occupational requirement and as a result this post is exempt under Schedule 9; Part1 of the Equality Act 2010
