NHB are partnering with a growing, UK-based facilities management business to appoint a commercially driven Finance Director
This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with full responsibility for the finance function and a team of 5. The business delivers maintenance services to well-known B2B clients (think major retail contracts) so strong stakeholder management is essential.
Key Responsibilities-
* Lead and develop the finance function, managing a team of 5
* Provide strategic financial leadership to support business growth
* Partner with the MD and senior stakeholders to drive commercial decision-making
* Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
* Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
* Drive EBITDA improvement and margin optimisation
* Support contract performance analysis and commercial negotiations
* Enhance financial controls, processes, and reporting systems
* Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and investors
* Contribute to board-level discussions and strategic initiatives
What we’re looking for:
* Strong academics
* Experience within a Private Equity-backed environment
* Commercially focused with the ability to influence at board level
* Background in B2B environments
* Exposure to facilities management, hard FM or contract-based businesses is highly advantageous
* Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
