Safety and Risk Advisor
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is looking for a Safety and Risk Advisor to review and develop our corporate risk management, business continuity and protective security arrangements. The role is a category 1 responder working closely with the National Protective Security Authority and the Service’s corporate risk and resilience strategy.

Location: Joint Police and Fire HQ, Ripley
Hours: 37 hours per week, with occasional work beyond normal office hours. Agile working arrangements are discussed with the successful candidate.
Salary: Grade G, £41,771 per annum
Reports to: Head of Safety and Risk Management

Responsibilities
* Act as the key contact between DFRS and the National Protective Security Authority, providing strategic advice at business continuity incidents.
* Assist in drawing up exercises to test business continuity arrangements for teams and operational crews.
* Represent DFRS at national and regional meetings and events, leading or participating in external and internal projects.
* Develop and maintain contact with the Derbyshire Resilience Partnership and other key stakeholders.
* Lead or support projects that embed corporate risk, business continuity and protective security strategies within the Service.
* Provide strategic advice to the leadership team on corporate risk, business continuity and protective security issues.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Business or management related degree or demonstrable equivalent experience.
* Qualifications or experience in risk management and business continuity.
* Experience in a similar or equivalent role, preferably within an emergency service or the public sector.
* Strong understanding of corporate risk and resilience frameworks.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
