Senior Physiotherapist
Vale Hospital | Physiotherapy | Fixed Term | Full Time
Up to £36,750 per annum depending on skills and experience
37.5 hours per week
We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to work across both Inpatient and Outpatient departments at Cardiff and Vale Hospitals. The role involves providing high‑quality physiotherapy care, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and supporting professional development within the team.
Responsibilities
* See a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post‑operative cases, helping patients achieve, maintain and recover their desired level of health and wellbeing.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, allied health professionals and consultants, to optimise patient health and recovery.
* Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based clinical care that is safe, effective, caring, well‑led and responsive to patient needs.
* Monitor and maintain the standard of treatment provided.
* Ensure compliance with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards, and participate in clinical audit and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent; registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
* Evidence of further professional training and continual professional development.
* Excellent rehabilitation skills.
* Strong communication skills – able to engage effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
* Competent IT user with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively and timely.
