Location: Haslingden Salary: £45,000-£48,000 + Overtime (x1.5)Shifts: Days-only Panama shift - 7am to 7pm The Opportunity You'll be a key part of a high performing Engineering team, ensuring machinery runs reliably and efficiently across a busy production facility. With a major focus on breakdown response, fault finding and reliability improvement, this role offers genuine variety and the chance to work across the full engineering life cycle - from installation and commissioning to reactive and preventative maintenance. What You'll Be Doing Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to keep production moving.Conduct advanced diagnostics on high speed packaging and processing machinery.Deliver high quality reactive maintenance with a strong focus on safety and engineering excellence.Carry out root cause analysis and implement long term corrective solutions.Support and contribute to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and meet agreed targets.Accurately log all breakdowns, repairs and corrective actions in the maintenance system.Champion safe working practices and site engineering standards.Get involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting OEE and equipment reliability.Provide technical support and guidance to Apprentices during maintenance and breakdowns. About You Multiskilled EngineerIdeally 5+ years in an FMCG or fast paced manufacturing environment.Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding skills.HNC/HND desirable but not essential.Proactive, self motivated and resilient with a can do attitude.Confident communicator who works well under pressure.Flexible with shift patterns, including weekends/bank holidays.
