To be successful, you will have...
4. Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board ofAustralia.
5. Relevant experience and well-developed clinical nursing skills in a child and community health setting.
6. Demonstrated commitment in the application of primary health care principles and a community development approach to practice.
7. Demonstrated understanding of cultural factors and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal health.
8. Demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multi sectoral and interagency team.
9. Current C Class Drivers Licence and an ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays away from home.
Position Profile:
The Clinical Nurse / Child Health Generalist is responsible for providing a specialised child health screening schedule and appropriate referral and support to parents to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families and communities with the emphasis in the area of Child Health. Promotes and maintains a culturally responsive service and focuses on addressing health inequities.
