Job Title: Principal Power Systems Electrical Engineer Location: Barrow, Filton (Hybrid On-site 2 days per fortnight) We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Competitive What you ll be doing: Conducting load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of an electrical power system Management and analysis of the electrical load budget Developing and validating electrical models for performing simulations to aid power system analysis studies Provide technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively Your skills and experiences: Essential: Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering or related field Proven Experience as a power systems engineer Knowledge of high power, medium voltage power electronics, machines, and drives Strong knowledge of power systems, including conversion, distributions, and generation Experience conducting electrical load budget and load flow analysis Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, IPSA) and programming tools (e.g. MATLAB, python) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Benefits: You ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
