Home / Hybrid Working Consideration
Applications for home or hybrid working will be considered in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for induction and be on site in East Lothian workplaces as required.
Job Details
To actively contribute to achieving the aim of Protective Services in promoting, protecting and enhancing the health, safety and wellbeing of people living, working and spending time in East Lothian. You will support Council Services in managing the risks associated with delivering and maintaining services in local communities.
* The delivery of a community mediation service
* Using early intervention methods to resolve neighbour disputes
* Assisting with investigations in relation to anti‑social behaviour
The role is key in providing an effective integrated approach to reducing anti‑social behaviour in our communities and promoting a high‑quality environment in East Lothian.
Job Requirements
* Relevant Qualifications: Educated to HNC level or equivalent level in mediation, conflict resolution or a related subject.
* Driving Licence: Must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
* Level 1 Disclosure Clearance: Required to allow access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate; the certificate must be obtained prior to commencement.
