The role
The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (analogous to Assistant Professor), Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor in Quantum Computing Theory, the level of appointment depending on the experience of the successful candidate. We are looking for a world-class researcher in any area in the theory of quantum computing. We interpret this area broadly, and to include for example, but not limited to, quantum complexity theory, quantum algorithms, the underpinning mathematics of quantum computation, and quantum computing interfacing with neighbouring disciplines.
What will you be doing?
The post-holder will be responsible for their own research programme, undertaking independent research. The post-holder will also teach undergraduate and postgraduate students and take on appropriate administrative duties. The post will be integrated within the interdepartmental Quantum Information Theory Group, one of the world’s leading groups in quantum information theory; see
