Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automatic Door Engineer to join a company based in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic door system roller shutters, high speed doors, gate and barriers in various commercial settings around Yorkshire. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, ensuring that all door systems operate efficiently and meet safety standards.
Duties
* Good knowledge of automatic doors, roller shutters, sectional doors, high speed doors and barriers
* Install automatic door systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing automatic doors to ensure optimal functionality.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automatic door mechanisms, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for their automatic door requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and colleagues.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automatic door technology to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Automatic Door Engineer.
* Strong technical knowledge of automatic door systems, including sliding, and swinging doors.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
* Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence for travel to various job sites.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to installation and maintenance work is advantageous.
