Job Description

Joining CML as Transport Operations Support, you will be responsible for providing general administration support to the Transport Department.

Salary: £27,618 per annum.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 18:00 to 06:00.

Key Duties of a Transport Operations Support Clerk:

1. Correctly debrief drivers
2. Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly
3. Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system
4. Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information
5. Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required
6. Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries
7. Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs
8. Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services
9. Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets
10. Departing & Completing of loads using Transport Management System (TMS)
11. Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads
12. Ensure all trailers are tracked

17. Positive and adaptable attitude
18. Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
19. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
20. Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
21. Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel
22. Able to work as part of a team or individually
