The Finance team covers finance, procurement, business planning, business management, internal audit and financial governance. As a result of these activities and its position at the centre, the team works closely with all directorates within the ORR.
Job description
The individual will support the Procurement Manager in delivering organisational benefit in the procurement field and actively participate in positioning Procurement as a valued strategic enabler within ORR. This includes providing procurement advice to internal stakeholders, supporting the development of market-attractive requirements, and advising on appropriate routes to market, risk mitigation, and social value integration in line with ORR’s Procurement Strategy and the Procurement Act 2023. The role has a high profile within the Department and the post holder will represent procurement and provide expert advice to all levels within the Department.
The post holder will need to ensure that ORR obtains value for money from its third party spend, whilst ensuring legal and procedural compliance. The post holder will be responsible for managing a range of procurements of varying size and complexity including, on occasion, high value contracts above ORR’s PA23 threshold of £213k.
