GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Hoyland (S74). As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
* Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and personal growth.
* Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to develop and implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
* Monitor progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continued development.
Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
