JOB: CAD Technician
LOCATION: Hertford
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 28,000 : GBP 38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client specialises in metalwork and fabrication, and they are looking to take on a CAD Technician on a permanent basis near Andover.
The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
: 1:2 years' experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
: Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
: Any previous experience of working with bespoke metalwork, structural steel or similar would be beneficial
: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar would be beneficial
: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
: Proficient using MS Office
: Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
: Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi:disciplinary team
The CAD Technician role will involve:
: Working within the current engineering team with other CAD Technicians
: Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
: Liaising with manufacturing providers
: Being involved in final assembly of products
: Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
: Updating 3D models and drawings
: Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
: Checking drawings for sign off
: Working in a small multi:disciplinary team on varied projects
