We're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of operations at 14Forty on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will use your skills to maintain high standards of facility management within the wider facilities team. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ensure grounds maintenance duties are carried out at the GE Redhill St Leonards and Lord Nelson Buildings, as well as the GE sites at Renshaw Drive and Mustang Drive Stafford, following the schedule (Summer: April to September; Winter: October to March).
* Ensure window and fascia cleaning duties are performed at the GE Redhill St Leonards and Lord Nelson Buildings using reach and wash systems for external areas and microfibre tools for internal areas.
* Maintain the rear yards at the GE Redhill St Leonards and Lord Nelson Buildings, keeping them clean and tidy according to guidelines.
* Ensure all equipment is safely stored in a clean and well-maintained condition between uses.
* Use appropriate PPE in all operations.
* Follow Health and Safety instructions to maintain best practices.
* Build partnerships with onsite clients through liaison and engagement.
Our ideal Facilities Assistant will:
* Be polite, professional, and friendly with customers, clients, and colleagues.
* Have an in-depth understanding of grounds maintenance and upkeep needs.
* Maintain a clean and functional workspace.
* Be able to lift or move heavy equipment.
* Possess strong organisation skills and the ability to multitask.
* Work well with others and under minimal supervision.
* Be skilled in operating lawn mowers, power tools, and have a good understanding of water and waste systems.
* Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Maintain a high level of customer care at all times.
* Demonstrate a can-do attitude towards customer requests and strive to exceed expectations.
Desirable qualifications include:
* Prior experience in horticulture.
* NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience operating reach and wash systems.
