Reception Class Teaching Assistant – Full Time

A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis, starting after the February half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their learning journey and who thrives in a busy, caring Early Years environment.
The Role:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
* Work closely with children to support their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.
* Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning.
* Support children with personal care routines where required.
* Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Observe, record, and contribute to assessments of pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children in Early Years or Reception (school or nursery-based).
* Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Be proactive and able to use their initiative.
* Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
