Were currently looking for two Accounts Payable Assistants (one permanent and one 6‑month FTC) to join our Accounts Payable team here at Platform Housing Group, the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We build homes, strong communities, and make a real positive difference to the lives of our customers.
As our Accounts Payable Assistant, youll ensure accurate, complete, timely processing and maintenance of purchase‑related invoices and related transactions in the financial systems and ledgers. You will work with operations, corporate functions and suppliers to resolve invoice queries and collaborate to resolve root‑cause issues and improve processes to enable timely payment to suppliers and recording of financial transactions/costs.
What we’re looking for
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume processing environment and delivery of excellent customer service
* Comfortable working with a high volume of transactions
* GCSE grade C (Level 4) and above, or equivalent relevant experience
* Ideally, previous experience within the housing sector, but this is not essential
* A proven track record of delivering results in a fast‑paced and changing environment
* Good problem‑solving ability and desire to contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement
* Experience of working within a finance or data‑driven environment

While this role offers the flexibility of being home‑based, occasional travel to Group offices and other locations, including Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park Worcester, is required.
