MAIT Technician
We are seeking an MAIT Technician to join the test and MAIT team of our client in the space industry. Their technology is used in low Earth orbit satellites, helping drive advances in Earth observation, telecommunications, and the opportunity to contribute to real missions that are launched into space. As an MAIT Technician, your main responsibility will be to ensure that products are built and tested to high standards and to work across their product portfolio, including flight hardware, research and development programmes.
Skills needed for the MAIT Technician:
* Strong engineering knowledge with experience in assembly of precision components
* Ideally, someone who has worked in the Space/Aerospace industry
* Demonstrable experience of using Metrology equipment
* Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, Test)
* Demonstrable experience of using assembly procedures
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Excellent organisational skills
Key responsibilities for the MAIT Technician:
* Assembly of R&D products and flight hardware
* Support testing of future products and flight hardware, including functional testing and electrical testing
* Development and write-up of Manufacturing Assembly Procedures and Test Procedures
* Carry out Detailed Inspections of Machined Parts using house metrology equipment
* Work closely with the Product Assurance team to define and write-up qualified MAIT processes when required
