The Role
You will be a registered Nurse who will support the Community Nursing Team Leader, who has overall line management responsibility for the treatment room.
You will ensure a person centered approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of episodes of care in accordance with NHS Lanarkshire’s policies/procedures and NMC guidelines. You will carry out all forms of relevant care without supervision and demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered/unregistered nursing staff. Directing, co-ordinating and supervising the work of other staff within the area of practice, involved with patient care.
You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are available for planned procedures including Keep Well.
Delegated responsibility for the day to day operational management of department, including supervision and deployment of staff across all sites ensuring equity of service provision.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice
5. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice
6. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery
7. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
8. Possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
9. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
10. Effective time management skills
11. Working knowledge of basic information technology
12. A full, valid UK/EU/EEA driver licence
13. Flexible working hours including weekends, evening and nights
It would be great if you also have
14. Experience within treatment rooms and can demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills
15. Knowledge of the treatment of clinical conditions relevant to this post
16. Excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
17. Ability to work with people and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
