The role
Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We require strong experience in computer vision and deep learning. We require hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. We require experience with object detection models such as YOLO or Faster R-CNN. We require strong Python programming skills. We require experience working with real-world image or video data. We would value experience with OpenCV or traditional image processing techniques. We would value experience working with sensor or camera-based systems. We would value exposure to real-time or edge deployment. We would value experience with multi-spectral or infrared imagery. We require applicants to be based in the UK. Responsibilities: We develop and train computer vision models for detection and classification. We work with image and video data from real-world environments. We build and optimise object detection pipelines. We handle large and complex datasets, including labelling and augmentation. We improve performance for challenging scenarios such as small or distant objects. We collaborate with engineers to deploy models into production systems. We work across the full lifecycle, from data and model development through to deployment. We collaborate closely with software and engineering teams. Technologies: AI Computer Vision Machine Learning PyTorch Python TensorFlow opencv More: We are supporting a growing technology business developing advanced AI systems that operate in complex, real-world environments. Our work focuses on applying computer vision and machine learning to image and video data, solving challenging problems around detection, classification, and real-time analysis. This is a hands-on opportunity to join our newly formed data science team and work on systems that are deployed into live environments rather than purely research or offline use cases. The role is remote and UK-based, with a salary of £80,000 plus bonus. last updated 25 week of 2026
