With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

About Us: At Smiths, we are a family-owned business with a proud history in the tipper transport industry. We are looking for a motivated Sales Administrator to join our close-knit team and help us continue to grow.

Job Purpose: To handle sales enquiries both internal and external via email and over the phone, along with dealing with customer queries. Ensuring that incoming phone calls and emails are responded to in a professional and timely manner. Work closely with the department’s Logistics Co-ordinator to ensure that customer requirements are always met.

Hours: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday & Saturdays currently 1 in 78am-12pm

Responsibilities for the job role:

* Engage with customers on incoming sales enquiries either by telephone or email.
* Handle customer enquiries relating to invoicing.
* Take ownership of the divisions email inbox to deal with enquiries and queries.
* Work towards and achieve targeted KPI’s.
* Assist the team in market research and commercial decision making.
* Advise customers on requirements including construction materials and site removals.
* Confidently quote rates and vehicle availabilities.
* Create customer sales on the division’s digital platform taking all relevant details.
* Create proforma invoices for customers wanting to pay by transfer.
* Take credit card payments from non-account customers.
* Liaising with external bodies in relation to material reports.
* Communicate with the rest of the team in a professional manner.
