Responsibilities
* Understand the company's functions, products, technical capabilities, and supply chain, and utilize these to expand sales to customers and continuously develop the business.
* Expand sales to existing customers by understanding awarding status and plans of customers\' OEM models; secure new business for relevant components and maintain and grow sales.
* Help customers understand our functions through daily activities, improving our position among their suppliers, and achieving sales expansion not reliant solely on price.
* Develop new customers by investigating and analysing products, suppliers, and credit status; open accounts with new customers who will value our offering long term.
* Understand current products for existing customers and provide ongoing support for production, including order arrangements, delivery management, inventory management, and quality control.
* Improve overall customer satisfaction through cooperation with related departments.
* Quotation, proposals, and profit-improvement activities; submit appropriate quotations with parts specifications, manufacturing processes, locations, and conditions.
* Build and maintain relationships with customers by understanding organisational structures and visiting customers regularly to gather information and strengthen connections.
* Budget and project management: formulate annual sales and gross profit budgets, manage results, analyse variances, and create forecasts.
* Drive PDCA (plan-do-check-action) cycles by listing potential projects, creating activity plans, and reflecting results.
* Information management: compile and regularly update sales activity data (drawings, prices, production plans, development plans) in an appropriate format.
* Support cross-departmental needs (e.g., stock takes, emergency sorting) as requested; maintain and develop relationships with current clients.
* Set up client meetings in Eastern Europe and manage travel as required.
About you
* Experience in duties and responsibilities listed above; prior account management experience within a manufacturing company.
* Sales experience with good timekeeping and a proactive attitude to completing tasks on time.
* Willingness to learn unfamiliar subjects and try new things; attention to detail and awareness of consequences of events.
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; excellent communication and customer-handling abilities.
* Full driving licence and ability to drive in European countries; international trading experience preferred.
* Flexibility for frequent travel to Eastern Europe.
