Overview
Project Audio Visual is seeking a professional Field Service Audio Visual Engineer to join our
Technical Support team. This client-facing role represents Project Audio Visual in the field,
delivering exceptional engineering standards and customer service to our clients, primarily
across London but also across the wider UK and internationally as needed.
The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with excellent communication
skills, ensuring our clients' systems are maintained to the highest standard while working
closely with both our internal teams and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide field-based AV support primarily across London, while also covering client sites
across the UK and international locations as required.
Carry out preventative maintenance visits to keep AV systems in optimum working
order, documenting all work completed.
Provide clear, detailed service reports using Project Audio Visual templates and
guidelines.
Work with the Technical Support Desk to troubleshoot issues remotely and take smart,
proactive steps to maximise first-time fixes.
Take ownership of incidents onsite, resolving technical issues efficiently while
maintaining a strong focus on customer service.
Install and configure AV, UC, and networking equipment as required, including control
code, DSP, and Teams/VC endpoints.
Reconfigure and update systems in the field, including Crestron, networking, and signal
processing equipment.
Assist Project Audio Visual's projects team with installation and snag resolution where
required.
Contribute to process improvements and knowledgebase documentation.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2+ years' experience in field-based AV systems integration or servicing
(preferred).
Strong technical knowledge across modern AV disciplines, including signal flow, UC/VC
systems, and networking.
Experience with Crestron control systems and Microsoft Teams Rooms is highly
desirable.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work calmly
under pressure.
Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Crestron, AVIXA CTS, CompTIA, CCNA) are
advantageous.
