As we grow, we're looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Product Sourcing to join our team and driving operational excellence from product approval through to inbound delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, the Head of Product Sourcing this is a newly shaped role responsible for overseeing our global supplier network and post-design product lifecycle — from finalised product concept through to warehouse delivery. You will be instrumental in managing relationships with sourcing partners, embedding quality and compliance standards, and ensuring packaging, sustainability, and supply chain reporting are executed at a high standard. This will include the leadership of: Two international sourcing teams based in China and India – guiding supplier management, performance, and alignment with our commercial and ethical standards. Our Quality Control and Returns function who are based at our third-party warehouse in Swindon, ensuring goods arrive to specification and meet customer quality expectations. The Product Technology team, supporting compliance, packaging, testing, adherence to technical and safety standards. ​ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ​ Supplier Management Lead the global sourcing function, ensuring effective partnerships with our global supply base – ensuring that these partnerships align with OKA’s standards for quality, ethics, and commercial value. Track and monitor the performance of our manufacturing partners - ensuring suppliers manufacture, package, and deliver products according to agreed terms. Work alongside our Product Development team to support decision-making around supplier selection and onboarding, ensuring we partner with the right people for long-term growth. Monitor supplier adherence to lead times, agreed commercial terms, and product specifications. Provide strategic support to Product Development, and Merchandising teams through supplier insight and operational feedback. Quality, Returns & Product Compliance Manage Quality Assurance and returns performance via our warehouse QC team — embedding preventative measures and high standards of compliance. Track recurring defects or complaints and lead supplier engagement to resolve quality issues at source. Oversee product inspections, documentation, and compliance with all relevant UK/EU legislation (e.g. WEEE, RoHS, REACH, EPR). Own and maintain supplier quality performance records and ensure alignment with product specifications and testing protocols. Strategic Reporting & Insight Design and lead reporting on supplier performance, product quality, returns trends, and packaging metrics. Provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams to drive improvements in supplier management and product outcomes. Ensure accurate reporting against regulatory requirements and internal KPIs. Develop tools and dashboards to enable data-led decision-making across quality, sourcing, and packaging functions. Sustainability & ESG Own and evolve the global packaging strategy, ensuring all packaging solutions are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with our long-term sustainability and environmental vision. Collaborate closely with the Head of People & Culture to ensure compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, EU Regulation of Deforestation (EUDR), timber regulations, and other relevant legislation across global markets. Lead or support supplier audits and assessments using platforms such as SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) to ensure ethical sourcing, labour standards, and environmental compliance. Work with our teams in India and China to prioritise and conduct regular supplier visits to assess working conditions, validate audit findings, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with our compliance and sustainability standards. Contribute to the development and execution of the wider ESG strategy, particularly in relation to supply chain sustainability, packaging lifecycle assessments, and ethical sourcing. Map and assess environmental and social impact across the supply chain, working with vendors to improve transparency, accountability, and performance.Own and maintain accurate supplier databases, working closely with the IT team to ensure all active suppliers are fully set up, integrated, and effectively managed within our WFX platform for enhanced visibility, traceability, and operational efficiency. Take a key role in our B Corp certification and recertification processes, ensuring packaging and supply chain practices align with B Lab standards.
