Group Finance Manager | Medway | Up to £65k + benefits
This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced, growing business with multiple Group companies across the UK and Europe. The purpose if the job is to manage a small finance team and provide financial reporting to the Group, ensuring all financial information is accurate, timely and in compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensure monthly Consolidated Management Accounts are submitted on time and accurately in line with group deadlines
2. Assist with monthly and annual forecast reporting ensuring they are submitted accurately and in line with group deadlines
3. Investigate, resolve and provide commentary on variances on Management Accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations for monthly review with Group Financial Controller
4. Distribute Divisional profit and loss budget report & review with senior divisional heads where required
5. Lead Debtor and Creditor meetings with senior divisional heads
6. Oversee Capex in line with Group authority matrix
7. Ownership of Group stock reporting ensuring accuracy and completeness
8. Develop financial policies and procedures for the company and monitor compliance
9. Oversee monthly and quarterly HMRC returns timely and accurately to deadline
10. Preparation of draft statutory accounts for the Group in accordance with IFRS
11. Preparation of draft statutory accounts for subsidiaries in compliance with FRS
12. Lead audit including provision of information to auditors as required
13. Manage accounting for leases under IFRS16
14. Preparation and review of Group corporation tax workings
15. Undertake other ad hoc tasks and financial project work in relation to acquisitions and mergers
16. Assist with process improvements including system upgrades, company integrations and changes in legislation ensuring compliance with existing accounting standards
17. Cover for Group Financial Controller including cashflow management and authorising payments
18. Manage monthly reconciliation requirements of invoice finance facility to strict deadlines including audits as required
19. Manage credit cards in line with Group policy
20. Lead and mentor Group Finance team to meet all required deadlines
21. Develop Group Finance team by providing regular reviews and appraisal of objectives
22. Ad-hoc support on projects and additional duties as required
