Tasks
As a Machine Borer, you will be responsible for the following:
* Operate all types of boring machines to precision standards
* Work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
* Read, interpret, and apply information from technical drawings
* Take ownership of your tasks and contribute to team responsibilities
* Possess a solid understanding of horizontal boring practices
* Accurately measure using the imperial system
* Adhere to all company procedures, including OHM, CMM, and SOPM standards
* Maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as outlined in company policies
* Keep your Practical Experience Record (PER) book up to date
* Provide training to other personnel when required, depending on your qualifications and experience
* Always work in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company protocols
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
* GCSE-level education or equivalent
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* Machining background essential; CNC and aerospace experience desirable
* Knowledge of horizontal boring machines a plus
* Familiar with machine shop practices and basic IT systems
* Able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy aircraft components

* Organized, analytical, and PC literate
* Excellent communication skills across all levels
* Performs well under pressure and makes sound decisions
* Eager to learn, grow, and work collaboratively in a team environment
