Overview
Senior Accountant role in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is a permanently employed position in a fast-growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will be proactive, client-focused, and capable of taking initiative to support Directors and client accounts.
You’ll be onsite initially to embed into the team and client portfolio, moving to a hybrid model (2–3 days onsite) after establishment.
Key responsibilities and requirements are described below.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for a wide range of clients
* Liaising directly with clients to handle queries, provide advice, and build strong working relationships
* Supporting and freeing up Directors by taking ownership of day-to-day client needs
* Advising on tax compliance and corporation tax returns
* Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance where necessary
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service delivery
About You
Experience: Solid practice background essential. Candidates with previous industry experience will be considered if they have strong practice knowledge.
Skills:
* Confident and proactive – able to see what’s needed and take action without being told
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work
* Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple priorities
Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE considered.
