Job title: Personal assistant (PA) Location: Shavington, Crewe, CW2 Start Date: September 2025 Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will support me with my career, personal care and enabling me to enjoy a social life and manage my condition. This role will involve driving me to and from my place of work in Winsford, Cheshire and regular medical appointments mainly in Crewe and Manchester. I have a wheelchair and an adapted vehicle which the successful candidate will be insured to use. About the employer: I am a 34 year old female with a progressive neuromuscular condition. I live with my husband, who works full time running his own business as well as being a carer, and I work 3 days a week for a charity. We are looking for someone to join our team of PAs to support with my care, managing my condition and enabling me to have some independence and continue working. I use a powered wheelchair and can transfer, stand for short periods and walk short distances with crutches. For all nutritional intake and medications I rely on a PEG feeding tube. There are also a number of regular medical appointments that I need to attend. Main duties: Transport to work, medical appointments and social/leisure activities Assist with daily physiotherapy exercises, including use of a cough assist machine Assist with PEG bolus feeds and medications Helping with Dressing/Undressing Help with some personal care and showering Assisting with physical activities such as carrying items Type of person that we are looking for: A hard working, motivated, trustworthy and reliable individual with good interpersonal skills. Someone who is comfortable working alone and with others and ideally have an interest or previous experience working within the health or care sector. Experience with physical disabilities or neuromuscular conditions is preferred but not essential. We want this to be a long-term position which we can build a good working relationship with. Hours of work: 10 hours (over 2 days) Set days between Monday - Friday. No late nights or overnight stays required but may need to work occasional weekends to cover other PA holiday or sickness.
