Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager to join the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) as a Prison and Custody Service/Location Manager, working alongside the Prison and Custody teams.
The Prison and Custody Services are hosted within the North Partnership Location of Aberdeenshire.
Hours of work will be 36.25 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday. The post holder should have an understanding of people within the Justice System and the ability to work collaboratively to provide strategic and operational leadership for the delivery of health services in these complex settings. This includes ensuring that robust systems, policies, procedures, professional guidance, standards, training, and education strategies are in place.
The successful candidate must demonstrate skills in translating information from national and local policy drivers, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and sustainable services. Previous budget management experience across multiple services is essential.
The Service/Location Manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including Scottish Prison Service and Police Scotland, to effectively deliver health services within prison and custody settings across Grampian, including HMP Grampian, Kittybrewster, Fraserburgh, and Elgin Custody suites.
Applicants should have extensive management and leadership experience, particularly in applying NHS policies and procedures. Education to degree level and recent management and leadership experience are required. The role demands the ability to work autonomously.
The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement for the benefit of the service and organization.
This is a fixed-term position until 31/08/2026.

This post involves regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent three or more continuous months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
