Role Overview
The successful candidate will characterize biotherapeutic recombinant T-cell receptor molecules and related products using various protein characterization and mass spectrometry techniques. Responsibilities include developing characterization methods such as peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass spectrometry analysis, supporting impurity characterization, and analyzing post-translational modifications like glycosylation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting drug substance and drug product impurity characterization and identification
* Performing protein sequence analysis and post-translational modification identification
* Supporting process development through characterization of process intermediates
* Developing and validating characterization methods for ImmTAX and other products
* Designing biochemical characterization, stability, and comparability studies
* Contributing to study protocols and reports
* Leading investigations and proposing new experiments based on data
* Providing technical support and guidance to team members
* Mentoring colleagues and sharing scientific knowledge
* Ensuring accurate and timely laboratory record keeping
* Providing technical guidance on laboratory equipment use
* Communicating research findings effectively in meetings
* Adhering to safety policies and procedures
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge (Essential):
* Experience in HPLC-based peptide mapping and mass spectrometry of recombinant proteins or antibodies
* Experience in glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies
* Extensive testing coordination of protein biomolecules
* Experience with proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems
* Understanding of post-translational modifications
* Experience working in a biopharmaceutical laboratory environment
* Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic, or mass spectrometry techniques
* Experience in assay development and stability studies
* Active contribution to diverse teams and process improvements
* Experience presenting scientific data internally and externally
Desirable:
* Further experience in glycosylation analysis, late-stage assay development, GMP principles, conference presentations, project leadership, and clinical trial material support
Education & Qualifications:
* Essential: BSc or MSc in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field
* Desirable: PhD in related discipline
