1. Position: Accounts Payable Clerk
2. Salary: £28,000 – £34,000
3. Location: Brighton, free parking available
4. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)
5. 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and other company benefits
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a friendly finance team. This role has become available due to an internal promotion and offers future progression opportunities within accounts. Ideally you’ll have accounts payable / bought ledger experience but applicants from general accountancy backgrounds and graduates (or equivalent) in finance or similar will also be considered.
The duties of the Accounts Payable Clerk are:
6. Process vendor invoices accurately and on time
7. Negotiate payment terms and manage supplier communications
8. Post vendor payments and perform daily bank reconciliations
9. Prepare and execute scheduled payment runs
10. Maintain vendor accounts and perform regular reconciliations
11. Support audits with documentation and explanations
Skills & experience required:
12. Previous experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance role highly desired
13. Strong Excel skills; SAP experience is an advantage (training provided if you have experience similar systems)
14. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks
15. Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
16. Graduates with strong accounting basics and enthusiasm will be considered

17. £28,000 to £34,000 based on experience
18. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 remote)
