Position: Registered Service Manager Salary: £46,000 per annum Location: East Sussex Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, plus on-call Closing date: 12th December 2025 About the role This is an exciting opportunity to take on the leadership of a therapeutic supported accommodation provision for young people aged 16-17 who have experienced significant trauma.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations across two small homes, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support that meets regulatory and safeguarding standards.
You will be the lead contact for Ofsted, maintaining full compliance with the Quality Standards and ensuring inspection readiness at all times.
Managing a dedicated team of staff, you will nurture a culture of safety, growth, compassion and professional excellence.
Key responsibilities include: Leading on regulatory compliance and Ofsted inspection requirements Providing strong safeguarding leadership as the Designated Safeguarding Lead Managing household budgets and contributing to sustainable financial planning Leading, supervising and developing staff across both services Embedding trauma-informed, reflective practice within the team Monitoring outcomes and driving continuous improvement Building positive working relationships with external stakeholders and partners Ensuring young peoples voices inform service development This role combines operational responsibility, strategic influence and the opportunity to create meaningful impact in the lives of young people preparing for independence.
About you You will bring: Proven leadership experience in a residential or supported accommodation environment Understanding of the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), including trauma, cultural identity and community risks Strong safeguarding knowledge, including risks related to exploitation, trafficking and radicalisation Confidence in decision-making, crisis management and leading teams through change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice Ability to supervise, develop and motivate staff within a reflective and supportive culture A relevant Level 5 qualification (or willingness to work towards this) Applications are particularly welcomed from candidates with lived experience of care or refugee backgrounds.
