Driver Hire Edinburgh West are recruiting a reliable and customer-focused Service Driver (Cat B – pick-up) on behalf of one of our clients. If you hold a full UK Category B licence and have a strong work ethic, this could be the perfect fit.
About the Role
As a Service Driver, you’ll play a vital role in delivering, collecting, and maintaining portable toilet units at customer sites. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Driving a pick-up vehicle to deliver and collect portable toilets from client locations.
2. Servicing and cleaning units to maintain hygiene standards.
3. Following scheduled routes for efficient fuel use and time management.
4. Ensuring safe and legal operation of company vehicles, adhering to driving hours and road safety regulations.
5. Safely using any lifting equipment in line with training, safety policies, and method statements.
About You
6. Essential: Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
7. Minimum 2 years’ driving experience (commercial or similar preferred).
8. Good knowledge of local and surrounding areas.
9. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
10. Physically fit – the role involves manual handling and outdoor work.
11. A flexible team player – willing to work overtime when needed and follow all health & safety practices.
