Stirling Dynamics is recruiting System Engineers with marine/defence experience to join our team Due to recent contract wins, and supporting continued growth, Stirling Dynamics are looking for talented Systems Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience to join our Systems & Safety team supporting key defence/military projects in the marine systems engineering domain. These roles will be based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required. As part of our commitment to flexible working, employees can work remotely, although security demands may require office working for some projects. As part of the Systems & Safety team, our Systems Engineers are responsible for the delivery of systems support to our business and our clients which includes activities such as: Elicitation/derivation of system/equipment level requirements from customer requirements Supporting design, development & certification activities including V&V (Validation and Verification) Preparation and checking of documentation for the design process Running/supporting/attending internal/external design reviews Supporting certification planning activities, test analysis and documentation Supporting system and equipment level modifications Working to resolve in-service issues Candidates will ideally be degree qualified, in a related discipline. Specific skills/experience should include some of the following: Platform/system/equipment design & development for marine programmes Submarine systems architecture, modelling, design/testing Control systems/safety-related software CADMID life-cycle RBE – Requirements Based Engineering, MBSE – Model Based Systems Engineering DOORS Defence Standards e.g. 00-56, 00-55, 00-51, 05-057, Mil Std e.g. 882E Int. standards e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 62368 Ability to contribute to activities within a team environment including: work package creation, task management & delivery Working within a quality system environment, such as AS9100, ISO9001 The personal qualities of the candidates will be key to success in this role which demands a self-motivated attitude, a professional approach, and good organisational skills.
