The Sussex Community Foundation NHS Trust is recruiting Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) to work as Health Visitors within the 0‑5 Healthy Child Programme based in Crawley, West Sussex. Full‑time, part‑time, and flexible working patterns are available.
Responsibilities
* Promote the health and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 and their families.
* Provide specialist practitioner knowledge and advice, assessing care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care and public health initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with schools, early help staff, primary care colleagues and the wider children's workforce to deliver inclusive, holistic, child‑centreled care.
* Mentor and supervise junior staff and students, ensuring pre‑ and post‑registration support.
* Complete the mentorship module within two years of consolidation to support pre‑registration and specialist practice students.
* Make appropriate referrals to facilitate access to relevant professionals and services.
* Travel across the Sussex Community Foundation NHS Trust area as required to meet service needs.
* Participate in appraisals and may be expected to move to a contrasting caseload to support equitable service delivery.
